## Welcome to Lake Tahoe, the second largest lake in the USA. This town is located on California and Nevada border, in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. To get there, you have to hike, as it is elevated circa 1900m. Enough of the numbers 🙂 Lake Tahoe is a fun and energetic place where outdoor fun is mixed with parties. Every season hundreds of Work and Travel participants are visiting the area or work there for the season. This place has lots to offer. You can hike in the morning and then spend a couple of dollars on the casino floor in the evening. And all that, before the party in the night. Every season hundreds of participants are working here, and the next hundreds are simply enjoying the place. ## Outdoor activities Depending on the season, you will have the opportunity to enjoy activities on the lake (in the summer) or the ski slope (in the winter). Please, be very respectful to nature and beware of the black bears 🙂 Make sure to follow all the instructions regarding your interaction with the wildlife! It can save your life 🙂 ## Summer You can spend your time sunbathing on the beach. Rent the jet-ski and cruise around the lake. You have multiple opportunities to either hike or cycle around the area. You will enjoy nature and wildlife all around you. Checking out Don Corleones’ house from the famous Godfather movie might also be a thrilling adventure! ## Winter Ski, snowboard, or sled? Whatever your mood is, Lake Tahoe will provide you will all these activities. You can rent equipment and enjoy the weather. Please note that not every season the conditions are sufficient to fully enjoy winter. ## Food Lake Tahoe has some unique places for the ones that would like to spend more and for those watching the budget a bit more carefully. There are multiple places outside and inside the casinos. ## Fireworks! There are two major events, where you can spectate stunning fireworks, that are released off the lake. These events are on the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve. Casinos are preparing a unique show that is unique but also free! ## Casinos Few casinos on the Nevada side offer you lots of fun. Not only you can spend a couple of dollars on the casino floor, but you can also have fun during the events or at the parties. You can enjoy great food and cocktails there as well. You have to over 21 to enter! Play responsibly! ## Parties Many events and parties are happening regularly. Plan and enjoy the fun time! We recommend spending at least a couple of days there.
