Cashiers are responsible for taking to-go orders over the phone, ringing up sales on a cash register, greeting customers as they enter and leave the restaurant. Because of the high level of guest contact ADVANCED English is REQUIRED for this position. The Kitchen Assistant/Food Runner is responsible for preparing the kitchen and storage areas, in the morning, prepping food for service each day; preparing some food items, stocking the line, pantries or walk-in refrigerators/freezers. Must be able to work under pressure, stand on your feet for long periods of time, be able to work in hot work environment around the ovens and a cold work environment in the freezers and walk in coolers. Must be able to lift heavy boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, unload deliveries, and clean and organize the kitchen and storage areas. There will be other duties as requested including washing dishes or other cleaning tasks. Must be able to work quickly and efficiently. During the afternoon, participants may work as a Food Runner, assisting the kitchen and server staff, by delivering food orders to the customers. Outstanding employees may have the opportunity for additional shifts as a cashier, taking to-go orders over the phone, ringing up sales on a cash register, greeting customers as they enter and leave the restaurant. Pay rate when working as a Food Runner is $10 per hour +Tips. Tips can average $50.00+ Per shift, but tips are not guaranteed.
