The Busser/ Food Runner is responsible for fully supporting the Server and Kitchen Staff. They are responsible for assisting in delivering prepared food to guest tables when needed, and clearing tables after guests have finished eating, resetting tables when guests have departed, and assisting other areas of the Restaurant as needed. This position has a large amount of Guest Interaction, so Advanced English skills are necessary. Basic functions: - Assisting in delivering orders to tables - Answering questions - accurately and politely - Maintaining a clean & organized station – including pre-bussing & table maintenance - Clearing tables of dirty dishes after guests have finished eating - Cleaning tables and surrounding area - Performing opening closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down of station - Demonstrating knowledge of all table/station numbers - Directing guests to areas & restrooms - Effectively communicating with co-workers Required duties: - Bending & reaching - Lifting & transporting up to 25-pounds * Lifting dining chairs, booster seats, high chairs and food/drink orders (from bar & kitchen to guests’ tables) – if applicable emptying trash cans weighing up to 100 pounds -Standing or walking for up to 8+ hours - Maintaining a well-groomed appearance - Following all uniform guidelines - Practicing all safety & sanitation standards - Recycling products where possible - Remaining calm in a hectic fast-paced atmosphere - Demonstrating a high level of organization attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency - Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests You will be working with Pork products. Pay rate is $9.00 an hour plus tips. Depending on business levels, and your performance, tips will usually bring hourly rate of pay to $13-$14 per hour.
